Maui Food Bank recently received $5,081 from the Ohana Fuels “Fuel up. Do Good.” community giving program.
Through the program, Ohana Fuels donates a portion of the proceeds from every gallon of gasoline purchased at its stations to a local nonprofit.
Ohana Fuels’ donation to Maui Food Bank will provide more than 20,000 meals to people who are at risk of going hungry, the nonprofit said.
“Mahalo to Ohana Fuels for the generosity they have extended to Maui Food Bank and for their commitment to helping the hungry in our island ohana,” said Maui Food Bank Development Director Marlene Rice.
